Work in progress exhibition

During my Spatial Design course, one of the units was Professional Practice in which we have been divided by our skills to organise the Interim Show Event ('Work in progress') and the Final Degree Show. Identified my abilities I was the leader of the management group (called 'getting things done'). We were 5 groups: Concept & Curation, Branding & Graphic, PR & Communication, Details & Quality and Getting Things Done. In total, we were 65 people and each group had a leader. Our responsibilities were to sort out all the small details for the other groups to make the progress in the organisation of the event. In primis we had to find a location; then coordinated the meetings of the other groups and understood their needs; set up realistic deadlines, contacted people for the equipment and materials, settled the bar section and cared about the budget (750£).

DEGREE SHOW

At the end of my course at UAL (University of the Arts London), some students have been selected as the best one. They will be part of the amazing 'Degree Show' which is the first step to the real world since so many companies are coming to recruit us. I was really happy to be part of it because it means that I did something good. Since our course was Spatial Design we actually designed the entire exhibition. My role (chose from my tutor, Irene) was 'project manager' as I had some experience from the previous exhibition and from the course of 'leadership and management' at City University. We built this exhibition in one month, caring about: the design,  the graphic, the construction in the workshop, the installation and the public relations with the companies. The exhibition was based on the idea of 'city' (since we all had different projects which could fit in a separate part of the city) making the connection between different spaces using strings. It has been a success!
